Sixteen years ago, a wave crashed into the bay, submerging the lower terraces of Azu'Kalee and drowning people on the shore.  They did not die the deaths of warriors.  In the random violence of nature, two Kaleesh died helpless as babes, while their infant child survived.

Within weeks of the flood, the tensions between the Kaleesh and the Huk flared into bloodshed.  The Huk made a surprise attack near the main spaceport, hoping to intimidate Kalee into becoming a territory of the Huk government.  Though the Kaleesh did not see it coming, they fought with a fury.  Out of the Kaleesh dead, a courDaughters of Kalee- Chapter 1 by ~andalasur
